Well done to one of our team, Jackie, who recently made her debut at the Triathlon Majorca Challenge Paguera Mallorca. Sharing the challenge with her friends, Jackie completed the took running leg and finished with a brilliant time that says a lot about the effort and determination she put in. Congratulations Jackie – now to plan the next challenge!

In September 2014 over 10 members of the Body and Mind Team set off to Barcelona for the first “Team Event” in Barcelona. On a rainy day in Barcelona 10 members of the team competed in a Spartan Race – little did we know this would be the first of many Hybrid style races.

This weekend, Formentera was the setting for a challenging but unforgettable race. Our team took part in the 40 km and 20 km events, enjoying the island’s stunning scenery despite the strong wind on the sand, which added an extra challenge to the day.

Do you want to test your strength and general fitness and get super fit this summer?
The new Body and Mind Mallorca Challenge is for you!

A Group of Fitness enthusiasts from Mallorca were the winners of 2 podium Spots at last Saturdays Hyrox Race in Barcelona.

Out of a total of over 4,000 competitors from all over Europe and the rest of Spain, athletes from Body and Mind Mallorca won 2 podium places.

Strength, confidence, endurance, motivation! If you know these words, you are already part of this addictive world of sport. Every day more and more of us are committed to a healthy lifestyle and train our body and mind.

And the fact is that exercise has already become a routine in the daily lives of many people. In fact, in recent years has been gaining more followers thanks to the ease of being able to perform functional exercises where and when you want, as training plans that we offer in Body and Mind with new sports techniques that have been emerging.

Let’s get your body moving! Lift your spirits, shake off the laziness and get your body moving!

There’s no better way to stay fit and in a good mood at the same time than with a good cardio workout. Whether it’s dancing, running, swimming… You choose the sport you like best, we’ll go with you because, if you’re going to sweat it out, do something that motivates you and makes you want to do it every day.

Did you know that one of the main reasons that prevents us from achieving our ideal weight is fluid retention? No matter how much exercise you do or follow a healthy diet, if a person suffers this problem and does not remedy it with a specific training plan, it is possible that they will never achieve their goal of having a healthy and fit body.

That’s why at Body and Mind we offer totally personalised sports sessions, designed specifically for each person, as everyone has a different body and a different objective.

Because, often when you set yourself the goal of losing weight and getting in shape, you don’t see beyond fat and muscle.

You’re already motivated! You have become aware of how important it is doing sport. Congratulations! But be careful! It’s all very well to exercise, but not in any way. Your body needs to be prepared for the sports session. Your muscles and joints need to be ready for the effort they’re going to make. If you don’t take care of this aspect you can hurt yourself.

So take note, because in Body and Mind we are going to explain to you the best way to warm up your muscles before starting to exercise. Ready?

Now that the cold weather is beginning, many of us are tempted by the sofa, the blanket and a good series on Netflix, looking for any excuse to stay at home, without moving from our comfort zone.  “I’m tired of work, I have to do many things and I don’t have time, it’s just that… look at what day it is today…” We always find some objection to not training, but that has to stop.

It’s time to say goodbye to the couch and the TV, put on your training shoes and exercise again. Your body and your mind need it and will thank you for it.

Do you find it difficult to get out of bed? Is walking no longer such an easy activity? Is tying your laces an almost impossible mission? Don’t despair! We can still help you to regain much of your mobility and elasticity.

Taking care of yourself is not a question of age, it’s a physical and mental need. That’s why it’s so important to include a table of exercises and stretches in our daily routine.

Do you isolate yourself in sport to cope with the current situation? Do you find it difficult to be constant in your training? Why not share them?

Exercise in company is always better and, despite the situation we are in, it is important to share experiences again and reactivate that unique connection that is created when several people fight together for a similar goal.

Little by little we have to get back to normal, get together again and enjoy a training session as a group, sharing achievements and efforts, because as a team the sports routine becomes less heavy and much more enjoyable. However, always with minimum hygiene and safety measures.
